For more than a decade, the “Ateitis CUP” tournament has continued it’s strong tradition of inviting well-known football academies to Lithuania, maintaining it’s leading position as the largest international youth football tournament in the country.
Each year, young footballers aged 6 to 16 compete in the event, which has become a true celebration of youth football for both participants and spectators.
In 2026, participation in the “Ateitis CUP” has already been confirmed by renowned European clubs such as AC Milan, FC Torino, FC Bologna, Dynamo Kyiv, and Dinamo Tbilisi.
The academies of these clubs are widely recognized for their professional approach to developing young talent, adding further prestige and a high competitive level to the tournament.
Over it’s history, the “Ateitis CUP” has become an important stepping stone for many players. Young footballers who once competed in the tournament have gone on to reach the highest levels of the game, including the English Premier League and Italy’s Serie A. Among them are current Lithuanian national team players such as Gvidas Gineitis, Armandas Kučys, Kipras Kažukolovas, and many other talented athletes.
“Ateitis CUP” is not only a tournament but also an international platform for young footballers to showcase their abilities, gain invaluable experience, discover different football cultures, and build new friendships.
Its high organizational standards, professional conditions, and strong line-up of participants allow the tournament to grow every year and remain one of the most important youth football events in the region.
