The largest in the Baltic states international youth football tournament “Ateitis CUP” which has ended just a month and a half ago  on  27 January returns to  Sportima arena with fourteen year old footballers. Among the guests of the tournament there will also be a well known Bergamo “Atalanta” academy.

This year the representatives of Georgia and Denmark will join to the regular participants, to be more specific: the Italian AC Milan, FC Torino and  Hellas Verona academies.

Winter – Spring tournaments will be held in six weekends: one- in January, one- in February, three in March and one- in April. Eleven groups of ages will compete in total and for the first time in the history of Ateitis CUP a tournament will be held for girls groups too.

“A lot of experience has been gained from the past several years of organizing the tournaments,  we received a lot of requests from the girls teams, so we made conclusions, “- said Dainius Gudaitis, the main organizer of Ateitis CUP.

In the first tournament, in which will compete fourteen year-olds, excluding  Bergamo “Atalanta”, we will be able to see the guests from Finland (two teams), Ukraine (one team), Russia (one team), Latvia (four teams), Belarus (three teams) and Lithuania (four teams). The tournament will start on Friday at 8;00,and will end on Sunday at 13:30.
