A traditional football tournament “Ateitis CUP” will start in October this year. This year’s tournament is going to be very special – three teams of Juventus F.C. are going to take part and play in 2003, 2004 and 2005 age groups.

“Last year was very interesting as teams like “Atalanta” and “Brescia” from Italy took part in our tournament. But this year is going to be extraordinary. We really wanted to have more well-known football clubs here in Vilnius, and here you are – Juventus F.C. is coming with three teams. We are very happy about this” – said the main organiser of the tournament Dainius Gudaitis.

Clubs like CSKA Moscow, FC Dynamo Kyiv, FC BATE Borisov, Barcelona Soccer Academy, “Hammarby” from Sweden, BWB from UK and other teams take part in this tournament.

“We are always very happy to expand and grow. We had teams from thirteen countries last year, but it is already clear that we will have even more teams this year. NJS – a team from Finland has already confirmed participation. This is the first time we have a team from there” – said Dainius Gudaitis.

„Ateitis CUP 2015“ will start on 13th of October and will continue for seven weekends in a row.

The biggest youth football tournament in Baltic’s “Ateitis CUP” for the first time will have participants from Africa. Four teams are brought by a Soccer Barcelona Youth Academy branch in Algeria.

“We promised to have more countries in our tournament after last years success. We will have Finland, Estonia, Algeria this year. And this is not a final list!” – said the main organizer of the tournament Dainius Gudaitis.

Teams from Algeria will participate in 2001, 2003, 2004 and 2007 age groups.

There are 20 teams from 11 countries – this is the number of registered teams for the international youth tournament Ateitis CUP 2015 Autumn. Teams from Italy “Juventus”, “Atalanta”, “Brescia” are among them. It will be the first time when we have teams from Finland and Estonia in Ateitis CUP.

“We are very happy by the result that we have now, but we still have three months until the start of the tournament. We are sure that there will be even more interesting teams coming. Talking about the tournament for twelve-year-olds, it will definitely be the important in Lithuanian football history as there was no other tournament with so many countries participating. We are thankful that those teams are coming!” – said the main organizer Dainius Gudaitis.

It is expecte that 32 teams take part in this age group tournament.

100 teams have registered to international youth football tournament Ateitis CUP 2015 Autumn. More teams are expected to register this week.

“We are happy that teams are so active. Teams from Italy have already confirmed their participation. We are now working on a football club bringing his 4 teams from Algeria. We will be giving more information on that later on, when everything is finalized” – said the director of FS Ateitis.

The tournament starts on November 13th.

[fusion_text]In 2014 there were 3000 children from 13 countries playing in “Ateitis CUP” tournament. Experts of football then said that it was the strongest football tournament in Lithuania ever.
After a year, organizers of tournament have accepted a new challenge and are going even futher – they are making the tournament even bigger.

“We have been growing since we started organizing this tournament and we cannot stop now. Last year we had a pleasure having teams like “Brescia” and “Atalanta” from Italy, “Hammerby” from Sweden what was a very big step forwards. This year we are growing and expanding further and we are negotiating with the top football clubs of Europe” – said the main organiser Dainius Gudaitis.

This years list of participating teams is already half full and more participants should confirm their arrival during the next month.

“Political situation in the Eastern Europe may reduce the number of teams coming from Russia and Ukraine, but we are waiting for very strong teams from the Western part of Europe. We are also expecting more clubs to come from Scandinavia” – said D. Gudaitis.

“I am very glad that Lithuanian teams have a chance to play against well-known teams here, in Vilnius – in front of their friends and families. On the other hand, I am also happy that international teams really like it over here – the teams come back and bring more with them. ”
