The Ateitis CUP Spring tournament started happily in 2022. The first Ateitis CUP 2022 Spring Tournament for the U13 age group took place in January. 16 teams from 7 European countries took part in the tournament, competing for the title of the best. Unfortunately, due to the situation with covid 19 in Italy, we could not catch the team of our regular participants FC Juventus, but the teams that participated in the tournament did not give up on combativeness and ball mastery.
Ateitis CUP 2022 Spring U13 Tournament Results:
First place TFF Hammarby Sweden;
Second place FC Lokomotiv Ukraine;
Third place FC Torpedo Sacartwell.
Best Individual Awards went to the players from: FC Torpedo Sakartvelas; Kaunas Zalgiris Academy Lithuania; Shakter Ukraine; TFF Hammarby Sweden; FC Lokomotiv Ukraine.
The first tournament went smoothly and covid19 situations were avoided. Therefore, we very much hope to see even more foreign and Lithuanian football teams in the upcoming tournaments.

In the first tournament “Ateitis Cup 2017” between thirteen year olds, Italian Bergamo Atalanta smashed everyone in its way and got the champion title. They have won every single game, and haven’t had a ball in their net once, like if that was not enough they won the final by the score of 6:0 against the national Lithuanian academy team. Third place was left to Minsk “Dinamo”, and the fourth was to Kuopio from Finland. In total sixteen teams participated in the tournament from seven countries.

“This tournament belongs to the category of Spring, and at this season we haven’t had such a high level tournament. I am glad that everything went smoothly,” – said the main tournament organizer Dainius Gudaitis.

In the largest tournament in the Baltic states “Ateitis CUP” competed four groups of different aged teams. Every team played 6 matches each. Among teams we  have seen: Torino “Juventus” , which slowly is getting involved in all our tournaments, as well one of the strongest team in Sweden between nine-year-olds “Brommapojkarna”, and youngsters from Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Russia and, of course, Lithuania. In all about 1100 football players participated in our tournament.

Among the nine-year-olds triumphed FK “Tukums” , the team which has surely won “Ateitis CUP” not for the first time. This team, from a small Latvian town with no obstacles won the finals against the “Brommapojkarna”, team who won almost every match until FK “Tukums”. In the semi-final met two teams of Belarus, Minsk’s “Dinamo” celebrated their victory.

In the group of eight-year-olds  „Žalgirietis” has failed, they were leading by the score of 2: 0, but then they gave 3 goals and the winner’s cup to “Liepaja” football academy. Third place was taken by guests from Minsk.

Minsk teams had a lot of luck in games against seven-year-olds, they won even got 4 places at the top of the tournament scoreboard. In the youngest boys group Latvia’s team showed the best performance. In the final, Jųrmala’s “Spartaks” were defeated by Liepaja’s Academy. In the fight for third place Minsk’s “Dinamo” won with a beautiful battle against Vilnius TFA Milan ‘pupils.

The biggest international youth football tournament in the Baltic states – “Ateitis CUP” this fall will receive guests from Georgia. FC “Dila” has approved their participation.

“We are happy with every teams participation in our tournament, Georgia is no exception. This year we have established the first contact and we immediately found a common language. I am almost sure that this cooperation will not be a one-time”, said the main tournament organizer, Dainius Gudaitis.

To this day we have 9 teams registered  in fifteen-years old group. There will be as well, teams from Latvia, Estonia, Belarus, Russia and Lithuania.

This is certainly not the final number of teams. There is a good majority of teams who had agreed to participate, but haven’t put the signatures yet ”

The tournament of 2001 age group will be held in the capital of Lithuania on November 11- 13.

There was an incredible final played between the eleven-year-olds of “Juventus” Torino and “Atalanta” Bergamo during the biggest international youth football tournament “Ateitis CUP” in the Baltics. Only after the penalties shoot out did the “Juventus” team win.

The third place was won by “Dynamo” Minsk, who played successfully against “Brommapojkarna” from Sweden winning with a result 2:1.

“It was the most interesting and the most difficult from the organisational point of view tournament of “Ateitis CUP”. There were teams from 10 different countries including “Juventus” and “Atalanta”, therefore the task to manage everything was not easy” – said the main organizer of the tournament Dainius Gudaitis.

“Juventus” brought the second team to “Ateitis CUP”. The previous team of twelve year olds also won the tournament.

“We are very happy to have had aa chance to come here. We are happy with a high level of the venues, the food, the organisation. We are coming back in a year!” – enthusiastically said the coach of “Juventus” Massimiliano Marchio.

The best achievement for Lithuanian teams was the sixth place won by “Tauras” from Kaunas. The eight place was won by Vilnius Football School, and the fifteenth by Mažeikiai Football Academy. This weekend (11 26 – 11 29) will be dedicated for ten-year-olds. “Juventus” once again will be against the twenty teams coming to Vilnius from seven different countries.

14.30 Tournaments closing ceremony

Fourteen year olds were taking part in “Ateitis CUP 2015” during this weekend. After the series of penalties in the finals “Metta” from Riga won this tournament leaving “Vaihingen” from Stuttgart in the second place.

“This tournament was interesting because the top four teams were almost equal. Yes, we can say that “Metta” was lucky in a way, but their team was also in the final last weekend in the age group of 2003” – said the main organizer of the Ateitis CUP tournament Dainius Gudaitis.

The upcoming weekend will be dedicated for thirteen year olds. There will be about 20 teams from 6 countries in international youth tournament Ateitis CUP 2015.[/fusion_text]
